CONNECTORS
Connectors are the key components for securing structural systems. Our cold-formed steel connectors are designed to provide the strength and performance required in every cold-formed steel application. From hangers, holdowns and steel studs to our line of Ready Products hand-bendable framing members for creating curved walls on CFS and wood construction jobsites, we offer a wide variety of sizes, materials and finishes for every project, big and small.
S/DTT
Light Tension Tie
The S/DTT is suitable for lighter-duty hold-down (holdown) applications on single or back-to-back studs, and installs easily with #14 self-drilling screws. These light tension ties are ideal for retrofit or new construction projects. They provide high-strength, post-pour, concrete-to-steel connections.
CS
Coiled Strap
CS coiled utility straps are an ideal solution when it is desired to brace wall studs via the flanges with strap. These products are packaged in lightweight cartons (about 40 pounds) and can be cut to length on the job site.
MSSC-KW
Kneewall Connector
MSSC connectors are designed to work in tandem with Simpson Strong-Tie® BP1/2-3 bearing plates to provide solutions for moment-resisting kneewall lighter-duty applications.
S/DHUTF
Drywall Hanger
The S/DHUTF top-mount hanger is designed to carry joist loads to a CFS stud wall through two layers of 5/8" gypsum board (drywall). This hanger installs after the drywall is in place and comes in sizes that accommodate most typical joists used in multi-family and commercial construction.
LBP
Light Bearing Plate
The LBP is designed to provide a greater bearing surface than standard-cut washers and help distribute the load at critical connections. This light bearing plate works by transferring concentrated compressive forces between two structural elements. The LBP features a galvanized finish for extra corrosion resistance.
HTT
Heavy Tension Tie
The HTT is designed to resist medium tension loads that are fastened with #10 screws. This single-piece formed heavy tension tie has a four-ply formed seat, is designed without rivets and does not require washers. This tension tie provides high-strength, post-pour, concrete-to-steel connections.
HUC
Heavy Concealed-Flange Face-Mount Joist Hanger
The HUC is designed for structures requiring additional strength and safety factors. These face-mount joist hangers have concealed header flanges providing cleaner visible lines in exposed conditions. Some models of this heavy-duty hanger can be special ordered with a skewable seat and a seat that slopes as far as up to 45°.
WP
Welded Purlin Hanger
The WP is designed to support joists on purlins or beams and may be used for wood-to-wood or wood-to-steel applications. This top-flange hanger offers exceptional flexibility and versatility with the ability to be skewed up to 84° and/or sloped to a maximum of 45°. The WP is an economical choice with a low installed cost requiring a small number of nails for maximum downloads.
S/B
High-Capacity Hanger
The S/B installs to structural steel or cold-formed steel members for support of cold-formed steel joists. The design provides dimensional accuracy and helps to ensure proper bearing area and connection. These modifiable, high-capacity, top-flange hangers are manufactured with precision forming and quality control.
H6
Hurricane Tie
The H6 single-sided hurricane tie is designed to resist moderate to high uplift loads at the stud-to-double-top-plate and the rim-joist-to-stud connections. The length of the tie makes it ideal for applications where spanning a larger distance between members is necessary.
S/VGT2.5
Variable-Pitch Girder Tiedown
The S/VGT2.5 is a high-capacity girder tiedown designed for cold-formed steel applications. This variable-pitch tiedown is used for single- or multi-ply CFS girder truss projects. The S/VGT2.5 features a predeflected crescent washer that allows it to accommodate top-chord pitches up to 8/12.
S/H1A
Seismic and Hurricane Tie
The versatile S/H1A is designed to resist seismic and wind forces in cold-formed steel applications. These double-sided hurricane ties hold the rafter or truss for high uplift load resistance. The S/H1A is ideal for several proprietary truss chords. It features embossments that add stiffness in crucial areas for improved performance.
VGT
Variable-Pitch Girder Tiedown
The VGT is a moderate- to high-load girder tiedown for hybrid wood-to-cold-formed-steel applications. This variable-pitch tiedown uses Simpson Strong-Tie® Strong-Drive® SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for a secure connection. The VGT features a predeflected crescent washer that allows it to accommodate top-chord pitches up to 8/12.
S/H2.5 and S/H3
Hurricane Ties
The S/H2.5 and S/H3 are designed to resist seismic and wind forces in cold-formed steel applications. These single-sided hurricane ties form part of a continuous load path for both lateral and uplift loads. The S/H2.5 is made for moderate loads at the rafter/truss, while the S/H3 is made for moderate loads at the rafter/truss-to-top-track connection.
S/HGAM
Hurricane Gusset Angle for Masonry
The S/HGAM is designed to secure the bottom chord of a gable end truss or other framing member to masonry. The engineered gusset in the angle increases strength for lateral and uplift loads. This hurricane gusset angle installs easily with #14 screws to a rafter or truss and with Titen Turbo™ masonry screws to concrete or masonry.
SP4/6/8
U-Shaped Stud Plate Ties
The SP4, SP6 and SP8 are designed as stud-to-plate connections to resist roof uplift in cold-formed steel (CFS) applications. These U-shaped straps have a horizontal portion that bears against the steel top plates or sill plates and two vertical legs that are screwed to the steel stud. These ties are a cost-effective option when properly installed before the placement of the wall.
HTP
Tie Plate
The HTP is designed to resist tension when installed on the side of 2x4 or larger members. This heavy tie plate is ideal for a variety of applications including connecting two members end-to-end or attaching multiple members together. The HTP can be installed with either nails or Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws.
CMST
Coiled Medium Strap Tie
The CMST is a continuous utility strap designed to resist tension and uplift loads. This coiled strap can be cut to length on the jobsite and used in a double 2x stud or post application. The CMST is ideal for many applications including resisting uplift in a floor-to-floor application and also resisting tension in a horizontal application.
